Waypoint Weekend Away

15th-17th May 2026

  • The Waypoint Weekend Away (WWA) runs from Friday 15th – Sunday 17th May with an option for day visitors to join on Saturday 16th.

All weekenders (those staying Friday to Sunday) are welcome to join on site from 4pm with the Friday evening meal served at 6pm. On Sunday, lunch will be served at 12noon followed by a team effort to clear up the site, with departure by 3pm.

  • The Waypoint Weekend Away is a fantastic opportunity for the church family to get away together and is a great opportunity to connect with God and each other, through fellowship, food, faith…and hopefully lots of fun! There will be a great mix of relaxing time with one another, opportunities to deepen faith through morning devotions, optional workshops and a church service, free time to do what you choose, and meals together. Evenings are a chance to sit around a campfire (hot chocolate and marshmallows included!) and enjoy special worship times and on the Friday night, a quiz will take place, complete with prizes!

  • For those unable to stay for the weekend, we’d welcome you to come on the Saturday to participate in lots of great content and activities. You are welcome to the site from 9am where there will be lots of free time until lunchtime – a great chance to get to know each other and relax! After eating lunch (please provide your own picnic-style lunch for the Saturday – no food that requires cooking, please), there will be a range of optional activities and workshops in the afternoon. Later afternoon, we will have a church service together in the main barn, followed by a BBQ (provided for you) …and for those wishing to stay on site until late, you are welcome to join for hot chocolate and marshmallows around the fire, and then some fireside worship.

Tea, coffee and squash are provided for free all day.

  • We would like to make it possible for our youth to attend and experience a wonderful weekend and we are making plans to accommodate this. We also need to ensure we are abiding by our safeguarding procedures to keep everyone safe, so please chat directly to Jo Fielder, our youth worker if you would like to discuss any aspect of youth attending for the weekend or as day visitors.

  • For ‘weekenders’ (those staying Friday through to Sunday) we would ask you to please bring your own breakfast for you and your family for both the Saturday and Sunday morning. We would also ask that you bring a picnic-style lunch for the Saturday for your own family (no food that requires cooking, please!). The Friday evening meal will be provided for you, as well as a BBQ dinner on the Saturday where we’ll also be joined by day visitors. A hot lunch will be provided on the Sunday, also.

Tea, coffee and squash is provided for free all weekend, and there will also be plenty of cake and sweet treats, too!

A large communal fridge is available in the main kitchen which is accessible at all times. It is helpful to label up your own food when using this fridge.

A large communal area with tables and chairs is available for meals to be eaten indoors (helpful when the weather isn’t great!), or feel free to use the ample space outdoors for sunny picnics!

  • For the evening meal on the Friday, as well as the BBQ on the Saturday evening and the lunch on the Sunday, gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian diets will be provided for. If you have an allergy or food preference outside of these, please indicate it in the provided space on your booking form. It is likely that you may be asked to bring along certain food to ensure you are catered for well.

  • Booking can be done via Churchsuite with the ability to complete one booking form per family. A tablet with the booking form will also be available after the church service between February 1st and May 10th with a volunteer available to support you to fill this in, should that be helpful. Payment must be made by card in person. This can be done after

a church service between February 1st and May 10th, or in church office hours Monday to Thursday (9am – 2pm). Payments cannot be made over the phone and we would prefer no cash, please.

  • For more information about the communal facilities, toilets and details like car parking, please visit the website for the site: Our facilities - Lockerley Water Farm Campsite

  • We don’t want cost to be a barrier to prevent anyone from being able to attend the WWA. If you would like to come but need support, please do chat directly to Catherine Clarkson, or a member of the WWA team (via the church office). Provision is being made available for discounted or fully covered places for the WWA.

  • Yes! At the time of booking, you have the option to purchase either a full place for someone else, or contribute an amount towards a place for someone else. Thank you for your support!

  • Children and teenagers are very much welcomed at the WWA! A brilliant team are busy working on a children’s and youth program for the weekend to ensure they have a great time and plenty of opportunities to grow in their faith. Parents are ultimately responsible for children at all times when on site at the WWA but it will be clear in the program when there are specific activities available for children and young people, facilitated by safeguarding individuals. All food for children is the responsibility of parents.

  • HCT who own and run the site at Lockerley have very strict rules on dogs and give a very small allowance for how many are allowed. Due to this restriction and wanting to keep things fair for everyone, and due to the nature of the weekend needing to be a safe and comfortable place for everyone, we are asking that no dogs are brought to the site, either for those staying for the weekend or those coming as day visitors.

  • There are opportunities to serve in so many areas! When you complete your booking form, you will be asked to indicate which area/s you are willing to serve in. As we are a church family, we are asking that everyone serves in at least one area to spread the workload out.

  • HCT encourage all churches and groups to get involved in the set-up of the site in the Spring, getting it ready for everyone who will use it. Waypoint will be a part of this and we are asking for as much support as possible on Saturday 25th April between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
